Hey! I’m Chelsea!
My goal is to help you stop waiting and start exploring
I’m Chelsea—a solo traveler, adventure seeker, strategic points user, and firm believer that we shouldn’t have to wait until retirement to experience the world.
I created this blog for women who want more from life and travel but may be waiting for the perfect time, a travel partner, more confidence, or permission to finally book the trip.
Here, you’ll find detailed itineraries, honest destination advice, solo travel guidance, adventurous experiences, and practical strategies for traveling farther without sacrificing every comfort along the way.
My goal is not to convince you that travel is always effortless or glamorous. It’s to show you that you can do intimidating, unfamiliar, and extraordinary things—even when you feel nervous, underprepared, or unsure of yourself.
You do not have to be fearless to travel boldly.
A little bit more about me
When I’m not traveling, I’m usually researching another trip, trying new foodie spots with my husband, spending time with my rescue dog, or trying to build a life with more freedom and fewer obligations that do not feel aligned.
I eat a mostly plant-based diet, love destinations with mountains and dramatic landscapes, and am equally happy carrying a backpack through Southeast Asia or using points for a beautiful hotel.
I am especially drawn to experiences that feel slightly unreasonable at first—the sunrise hike, the long journey, the destination people warn is “too difficult,” or the trip that requires me to trust myself a little more than usual.
My mom used to say:
“If you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up too much space.”
That philosophy continues to shape the way I travel and the way I want to live.
Not recklessly—but fully.

How My Travel Story Began
I took my first international trip in 2017, and it completelychanged the direction of my life.
What began as a desire to see somewhere new quickly became a much deeper pursuit of growth, freedom, connection, and adventure. Since then, I have traveled solo across Southeast Asia, North Africa, Central America, and Europe. I’ve also worked my way into convincing my husband into some adventure bucket list experiences across Asia, Central America, and South America.
Along the way, I have backpacked through unfamiliar countries, navigated complicated transportation routes, stayed in everything from shared hostels to beautiful boutique hotels, made friends as a solo traveler, and used points to experience flights and accommodations that once felt completely out of reach.
I’ve hiked above the clouds on Acatenango, completed the Salkantay Trek, ridden through northern Vietnam on the Ha Giang Loop, slept beneath the stars in the Sahara, explored the volcanoes and waterfalls of East Java, sailed through the Komodo Islands, and traveled solo through destinations I once wondered whether I would be brave enough to visit.
Each experience has reinforced the same lesson: confidence usually comes after we do the scary thing—not before.
