We chose to go to The Gallery at Sketch (AKA The Pink Room) and it was such an aesthically pleasing place plus the food and tea were delicious.
When you get to your reservation, you’ll enter the most unique restaurant I’ve ever seen. If you are looking for a cool picture place in London, this has to be the most Instagrammable afternoon tea in London. There are a few different rooms in the building that are so aesthetically pleasing, including the bathroom.
We had high tea in the pink room. You get seated at your table with velvety pink chairs, dim lighting, and quirky art covering the walls.
As a part of the tea, you get to pick a pot of tea and you can change it whenever you want, plus you can have as much as you want. There are different options including Oolong tea, Pu-erh, White, Herbal, Green, and Black tea. We got a different tea every time so that we could try the majority of the teas.
They are served in the cutest teacups that match the whole vibe of the place. They do have a bar so you can order drinks if you would like or get a bottle of champagne to have alongside your tea.
While you are having tea, you are served an array of food including little sandwiches, scones, and little pastries. Do not eat before you come to tea here, while it seems small, it was SO much food. Between all the tea and the food, I was so full when we left. Plus the food is delicious, so you will want to be able to eat it all.
As if the whole place isn’t already so beautiful, the bathroom itself is worth visiting Sketch London.
It has these unique egg pods, fun hats to pull down by the sinks, and a colored ceiling. It gives off Alice in Wonderland vibes. I still talk about this bathroom to people now because it left that much of an impression on me, strange but you will understand when you see it.
If you aren’t interested in afternoon tea, they do have lunch and dinner menus. You can also go to sit by the bar and have a drink as well. That way you can still enjoy the wild aesthetic of the restaurant. And you can check out the cool bathrooms ;).
I would highly recommend making a reservation as afternoon tea is a popular thing to do in London and Sketch is extremely unique. We made our reservation a couple of months in advance and had no issue. You can make reservations and look at the menu on their website.
Keep in mind that this is not the most affordable afternoon tea in London, we paid 69 pounds or about 85 USD, but it is well worth it. Our day at this quirky afternoon tea became one of my favorite memories from my trip to London.
