Most Beautiful Riads in Marrakech: Top riads to stay in Marrakech for an authentic Moroccan experience
If you’re planning a trip to Marrakech, Morocco, staying in a traditional riad is all a part of the experience. A riad is a traditional Moroccan home with guest rooms surrounding a courtyard or pool.
They are so unique to Morocco, that choosing to stay in a riad over a hotel is a must to add to your list to experience the culture of Morocco. As a bonus, most riads also include a delicious and free Moroccan breakfast.
This list includes some of the most beautiful riads in Marrakech, including my personal favorites and highly-reviewed options. While I think staying at a riad is a must in Morocco, Morocco also includes some historical hotels and luxury stays, so this list includes a couple of stays for those with a higher budget looking for luxury.

Riad Chambres D’Amis Marrakech
I stayed at Riad Chambres D’Amis Marrakech when I visited Morocco and I wanted to move in as soon as I stepped foot in the door. It’s beautifully decorated, the people that work there are SO kind and truly embody Moroccan hospitality, and such a calm place to escape the chaos of the streets.
What I truly cannot get over was the smell, even the scent throughout the whole riad was so calming and beautiful. I wanted to bottle it up and take it home. This was by far my favorite stay in Morocco!
The location is in the heart of the medina which makes it easy to navigate the streets and walking distance from most things you’d want to see, plus, they have done a great job with the signage which helps keep you from getting lost in the medina.
Riad Nelia Marrakech
I also stayed at Riad Nelia Marrakech when in Morocco! I had read several blogs recommending this riad, and after staying there I can understand why. With its charming decor and rooftop terrace offering stunning views of the city it’s hard to even leave the riad.
On top of its beautiful décor and relaxing spa-like feeling and smell, the staff here are some of the kindest.
I visited during Ramadan and sat with the staff during their breakfast as the sun was setting, and the conversation and spending time with them felt so comfortable and natural that I felt like I knew them. I really cannot get over Moroccan hospitality.
Riad Le Rihani
I didn’t personally stay at Riad Le Rihani but looking at the reviews and pictures made me wish I did!
Reviews of Riad Le Rihani praised it for its elegant design and peaceful atmosphere, along with amazing hospitality and a delicious breakfast. The location is in the medina making it walkable to all the top spots in Marrakech. This riad looks like a whole experience in itself.
Riad 72
So, I haven’t stayed at Riad 72 myself, but after diving into the reviews, it sounds like an absolute gem. People rave about its chic, stylish interiors and the top-notch service that makes you feel like royalty.
Plus, the rooftop terrace and spa? Perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the bustling Medina. If you’re looking for a spot that mixes luxury with a cozy, authentic vibe, this could be the one!
Riad Kheirredine
I also have not personally stayed at Riad Kheirredine, but after scouring the reviews, I’m convinced it’s a winner. Everyone is buzzing about the impeccable service and those gorgeously decorated rooms. There are even lush gardens and a pool to relax in after walking through the medina! Which trust me, your feet will need.
This riad located in a perfect spot in the medina is your little slice of paradise in the middle of the city. If you’re after a peaceful, beautiful place to unwind, this riad is worth checking out!
Luxury Stays for a Higher Budget
La Mamounia Hotel
Is anyone else obsessed with the Anna Delvey situation and also going down a rabbit hole after the Netflix documentary like I did? Anna’s stay in Morocco was filmed at the Mamounia Hotel!
The Mamounia Hotel is a legendary luxury hotel in Marrakech, offering world-class amenities and the go-to stay for A-list people! If you have the budget and are looking for a unique stay with a story, the Mamounia Hotel is a landmark in Marrakech.
If not, stop by and check out the Le Churchill bar for a drink just to experience the hotel!
Hôtel Tigmiza Marrakech
Hôtel Tigmiza Marrakech offers a unique blend of traditional Moroccan charm and modern luxury. Nestled in a serene location, this boutique hotel features stunning suites, a relaxing spa, and gourmet dining options.
The hotel offers shuttles to and from the city center but the con of staying here is that you will not be walkable to the main sites in Marrakech. But I guess maybe that’s a pro for some people, for me.
A trip to Marrakech is not complete without experiencing a hammam, a traditional thermal spa. You can book a spa treatment here and then enjoy the hotel grounds along with it, including the beautiful pools! I loved my experience at the spa here.
